Fun with the Fishies

The Texas State Aquarium is one of our very favorite places to go. We have a year membership so we go there every single week. Here are some of our favorite things at the Aquarium.

We take a handful of pennies every week for Kelsey and Ethan to throw into the fountain.

I don't know why but the kids really love this alligator. They are fascinated with it every single time they see it. He is the very first exibit at the aquarium. Ethan is getting really good at saying "alligator". Kelsey just says "a-tor".

There are a lot of hands on activities. Here is where the kids can touch and pick up different kinds of shells. Some of the shells have little sea animals actually living in them. In another area they have a place where you can pet stingrays.
Ethan loves the dolphins. They have a dolphin training show and Ethan talks about it all week long.
There is also a HUGE play area that is pretty fun. We don't spend too much time there right now because it is so darn hot the kids are dripping within minutes. I'm sure in the winter we will play there all day.
There is also some sharks that the kids love but the picture I took didn't turn out very well so I didn't try to post it.

My anniversary continued

Matt had these floweres sent yesterday while he was at work. They were so beautiful I thought I would post a picture so everyone can see what a fantastic husband I have.

So in love

I didn't have to know Matt for very long before I knew that I had found a good man and I that I would want to hold on to him forever and never let him go. It has been a fleeting five years now since we got married and it has gone by so quickly, yet it seems like we have already done so many things together. I am so glad that I have him to share every part of my life with.
Happy Anniversary Love.

International Dinner

Our ward had an International Potluck dinner. It was a lot of fun. I thought I would post some pictures. Everyone brought an international dish and something for the display table. We brought Jamaican Curry Chicken and Rice and Peas. I would like to add that I thought the highlight of the whole thing was watching the Bishopric perform the Hula Dance for everyone.

Here is Matt trying to decide what to eat. I think he ended up with a little of everything.
Me and the kids at the table. Each table had a centerpiece from a different country.

Bubbles are enjoyed by all kids all over the world.

The kids got to decorate bags for putting candy in when they broke the pinata.
