Kelsey's Big 4

Sweet Princess Kelsey turned 4. I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was turning 4 and getting my first Barbie.
But it was Kelsey's turn and she is such an angel girl so we celebrated all weekend long.
We had her open presents first thing in the morning before daddy went to work. This way she could play with her new toys all day long.
Look at that cute darling in those cute jammies.
We were excited to surprise her with the "Swan Princess Palace" that she has wanted ever since she saw it in the toy store.
That night we had the missionaries over for dinner, and after singing "Happy Birthday", Kelsey blew out the candles on her pink cake.
Saturday was her party. She really wanted a Mickey Mouse birthday party.
It is too bad there are no pictures of the truely adorable decorations but that is what happens when you put daddy in charge of the camera. Daddies don't care about decorations. They only care about cute pictures of the kids. And he did get some cute pictures of the kids, so at least that's something.
At the party we played games.
Hereis one of the cute kid pictures as mentioned.
And another cute kid picture.
By the way, everyone got a mouse ears headband but only a few actually wore them.
After games we had an indoor picnic and watched "The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" while we ate.
By the way, I was going to have the whole party outside but when I went out to set up it was just so darn hot, so I brought it all right back inside.
After lunch we opened presents.
Then sang "Happy Birthday", blew out candles, and ate cake.
By the way, It is a good thing I took a picture of this right after I made the cake because I think
Daddy would have forgotten to get a picture of it and it would
have been a shame to erase the memory I have of decorating this darn cake for over an hour at 1:00 am the night before the party.

Three Ethan Things

1. Yesterday at church Ethan was being bad in Sacrament meeting so I took him out and made him sit on the couch in the foyer with his arms folded. After a while I pointed to a picture of Jesus and said, "Who is that?" Ethan answered, "Jesus Christ." I said, "Can you tell me something about Jesus? Is he nice?" Ethan answered, "ya, Jesus nice. Jesus good boy, like Ethan."

2. Ethan just does really weird things. Random, like his father. In this picture he is watching a comercial and dancing to the music. Popcorn anyone???

3. Ethan has never seen the new Batman movie but this picture might make you believe otherwise. My new personal theory is that the movie makeup people gave a two year old a bag of makeup and let him have at it. They then copied what he did and put it on the Joker.
