A few random things

It has been a couple of weeks since my last post so I have a few random things for you. We have been doing a lot of stuff but I forget to take the camera and I don't think that blogs are as fun to read if you don't have pictures.
I rarely put up pictures of me, so here is one of me cooking. I find cooking much more enjoyable in my new kitchen than in my tiny Tooele kitchen. Here is a random picture of Ethan with no clothes on.
Corpus Christi has been in a drought for the last year and yesterday it finally rained sweet glorious rain. Here is Kelsey dancing in the rain. She is wearing one of Matt's t-shirts because she was playing in the rain, got wet, changed into Matt's shirt, then went out again.
Try not to notice Ethan in the background. He went outside to dance too but with ONLY his umbrella!

Scooby-Doobie-Doo

Our Scooby-Do0 obsession started with our weekly Friday Family Movie night. We pick a kids movie and have popcorn and candy and it's a blast. For the past two months we have been watching Scooby-doo movies. The kids are obsessed and the Parental Unit finds it entertaining as well, which is why this has gone on so long.

We also have season passes to Six Flags. Six flags is all about Warner Brothers so they have a Scooby-Doo ride. This is the favorite ride in the whole park. I am going to walk you through it.

Here is where you enter the ride.
A close up of Shaggy

You enter this really cool room decorated all ghosty. It is air conditioned and it is the only ride with an air conditioned room to wait in. It's fabulous.

You ride in this cool blue "mystery mobile" and everyone has a Laser Gun. You get to shoot all the ghosts and monsters with your gun and it keeps score of how many points you get for each monster.

At the end you get to how well you did

We even got to meet the REAL Scooby-Do0. He is the only character our kids liked. The rest of the characters walking around just creeped them out - especially the Joker. We saw Shaggy walking around but we didn't get a chance to get our picture with them. But it made the kids happy just to see him.

One more thing. There is a live action Scooby-Doo TV show starting in September on the Cartoon network. We are totally excited for it.

hide and seek

I rediscovered the joys of the game "Hide and Seek". It has become the new favorite game at our house. This game makes me laugh so hard because my kids look so darn cute when they play. Like this picture of Ethan counting. He would not let go of that box of crackers. And he doesn't count in order but I think he gets at least ten numbers in.
They hide in ridiculously easy places...like here...

and here.
and they leave clues, like toes sticking out.

and if you can't find them then you just follow the giggling.
It's a blast.
