Kelsey's Big 4

Sweet Princess Kelsey turned 4. I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday I was turning 4 and getting my first Barbie.
But it was Kelsey's turn and she is such an angel girl so we celebrated all weekend long.
We had her open presents first thing in the morning before daddy went to work. This way she could play with her new toys all day long.
Look at that cute darling in those cute jammies.
We were excited to surprise her with the "Swan Princess Palace" that she has wanted ever since she saw it in the toy store.
That night we had the missionaries over for dinner, and after singing "Happy Birthday", Kelsey blew out the candles on her pink cake.
Saturday was her party. She really wanted a Mickey Mouse birthday party.
It is too bad there are no pictures of the truely adorable decorations but that is what happens when you put daddy in charge of the camera. Daddies don't care about decorations. They only care about cute pictures of the kids. And he did get some cute pictures of the kids, so at least that's something.
At the party we played games.
Hereis one of the cute kid pictures as mentioned.
And another cute kid picture.
By the way, everyone got a mouse ears headband but only a few actually wore them.
After games we had an indoor picnic and watched "The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" while we ate.
By the way, I was going to have the whole party outside but when I went out to set up it was just so darn hot, so I brought it all right back inside.
After lunch we opened presents.
Then sang "Happy Birthday", blew out candles, and ate cake.
By the way, It is a good thing I took a picture of this right after I made the cake because I think
Daddy would have forgotten to get a picture of it and it would
have been a shame to erase the memory I have of decorating this darn cake for over an hour at 1:00 am the night before the party.

Happy Birthday to Kelsey!!! What a fun age. Andrea, you are a such a party queen - can we hire you to do one for Destiny in about a month? :) Another great year, and another great party!!! I still remember the girls(Moms) talking about Kelsey's 3rd birthday, and then seeing the pictures on your blog. Awesome!

Happy Birthday! What a fun birthday. They are sure growing up. Your cake turned out so good. I made a horse cake for Kiana, my first I might add, and not as cute, but it worked. I need to take a cake decorating class or something. That would be a lot of fun. It looks like she is making lots of cute new friends up there, I'm glad you guys are doing well. Thanks for your friendship, we miss you!

Good job! I love planning parties. It's totally true about Dad's NOT getting the pictures of all the decorations, details, etc. that we put into the event. I can't believe she's four. Give her a hug for me!
